Auf der Asinara lebten rund 500 Menschen: sardische Hirten und ligurische Fischer, die Generationen zuvor aus Camogli gekommen waren, angezogen von der reichen Thunfischfangstation von Le Saline. Sie wurden mit Gewalt vertrieben, mit einer Entsch\u00e4digung von 750 Lire pro Familie.<\/p>\n<p>Viele zerstreuten sich \u2013 nach Porto Torres, Sassari, Castelsardo. Doch 45 Familien beschlossen, zusammenzubleiben. Mit Hilfe der Br\u00fcder Murtola kauften sie einen schmalen Landstreifen zwischen zwei Meeresarmen \u2013 auf Sassaresisch <em>isthint\u00ecnu<\/em>, \u201eDarm\u201c \u2013 und gr\u00fcndeten am 14. August 1885 ein neues Dorf: die \u201eComunione dei 45\u201c (Gemeinschaft der 45).<\/p>\n<p>Dieses Dorf ist Stintino.
