Cannigione is a district of the municipality of Arzachena, on the Gulf of Arzachena, in north-eastern Gallura. Although it is just 10 km from Porto Cervo e dentro il perimetro della Costa Smeralda allargata, ha mantenuto un’different soul: it is a fishing village that has grown touristically without becoming a luxury resort.
The tourist harbour is the nerve centre: fishing boats, daily excursions to the Maddalena Islands, fish restaurants along the seafront. A family-Mediterraneanatmosphere, more affordable prices than Porto Cervo, and identical access to the top Costa Smeralda beaches (Pevero, Capriccioli, Romazzino are 5-15 km away).
