Valledoria is a town of around 4,300 inhabitants on the north-western coast of Sardinia, between Castelsardo (10 km to the west) and Badesi (15 km to the east). It lies at the point where the river Coghinas — the second most important in Sardinia — meets the Mediterranean, creating a unique geography with a river mouth, dunes, pinewoods and a beach that stretches for over 8 kilometres.

The river Coghinas è quello che rende Valledoria diversa da tutte le altre località del nord Sardegna. Secondo fiume dell’isola per portata, scorre per 115 km dall’entroterra fino a sfociare nel mare di Valledoria, attraversando ginepreti, oasi naturali, canneti.
Da Viddalba (10 km nell’entroterra) parti in canoa o SUP scendendo il fiume Coghinas attraverso canneti e oasi naturali. Arrivi al mare 2-3 ore dopo. Esperienza unica, adatta anche a famiglie. Costo medio 25-40€ a persona.
Maragnani is one of northern Sardinia's most beloved spots for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Steady mistral wind, a wide bay, schools with certified instructors. Suitable for beginners too.
